      The Curup State Islamic Institute is one of the country's Islamic universities in Indonesia located in the regency of North Sumatra, Bengkulu. Teacher training is a priority program at the IAIN CURUP and each graduate is classified as a teacher based on the classification of study programs involved in the recovery. This university is very well known for its religious knowledge and competent lecturers. IAIN has the largest library in Bengkulu. IAIN has 17 majors in the form of Islamic Education, English language education, Indonesian language education, madrasah ibtidiyah teacher education (PGMI), Islamic counseling guidance, early childhood Islamic education, Arabic language education, Islamic counseling guidance, education management, Islamic broadcasting communication, Islamic library and information science, Quranic science and interpretation, ahwal al-syakhsiyyah, Islamic banking, constitutional law and finally the Islamic economy.

     The English study program is one of the majors at the curup state Islamic Institute (IAIN). This study is in great demand by many people because it has very good quality from its infrastructure and the quality of its lecturers. TBI lecturers are very qualified and very competent. The English study program has many rules that encourage students to be better and one of the English study rules every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday students are required to communicate with English because they are fluent in English.

HOAX IN SOCIAL MEDIA

           Hoax are growing along with incresing popularity of Social Media. Social media is very possible for people to spread the news or everything even if the source is not clear. Hoax generally aims to "have fun" or humor. However, hoaxes can also be used as a propaganda tool with political goals, such as doing imaging or vice versa, deteriorating the image of a person or group. Twitter is accused of being the biggest social media spreader of fake news or hoaxes, besides Facebook. The reason for the many hoaxes is because of the widespread use of fake accounts in these social media platform.We as educated people must know what hoaxes are and how they form. and also when we find or read a news, we should see the source first and then believe it. another way to prevent hoaxes is by simply doing it in three steps:

1.Copy paste (copas) information suspected of hoax, browse through the internet, then capture and then share the results of the screenshots that explain that information is hoax.

2.If the hoax is more complex in its content, then more effort is needed to find out the information, such as finding out or asking news sources, confirming to experts, and can also read related articles or journals that are trusted.

3.If you feel restless because of hoaxes, don't just stay quiet. This can start from using the Report Status feature on social media or by sending an email to aduankonten@mail.kominfo.go.id
